2010: Placed on the club's Disabled List (5/24) after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee in stoppage time vs. San Jose (5/22). Started and played full 90 minutes in all 9 appearances.

2009: Finalist for MLS Defender of the Year and chosen to MLS All-Stars. Started and played the full 90 minutes in 28 of 29 appearances, including both playoff legs vs. HOU (10/29, 11/8), with one goal and one assist. Effective coming forward on set plays around the box. Celebrated 25th birthday with first career MLS goal in 1-1 draw at DAL (5/16). Had game-winning assist in 2-1 win vs. HOU (7/11). Both goals originated from corner kicks. Missed game at NY (6/20) for the birth of his first child. Started all four appearances in U.S. Open Cup play.
